Communications Department
The GISD Communications Office manages communication efforts with the public including staff, parents, media and the community at large. This department oversees all media requests, GISD-TV Channel 17, all district websites, the Weekly Wave e-mail newsletter and is responsible for district publications.
The department has won various awards from the Texas School Public Relations Association for its wall calendar and communications plan.
