Library Night Tuesday January 31st 5:30pm - 7:00pm, Oppe Library Student Council members volunteered to be Oppe's very first Living Museum ever. They dressed up as wonderful book characters like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Greg Heffley in Cabin Fever, a World War II vet, Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Junie B. Jones, Peter from Tales of a 4th Grade nothing, Katie Kazoo, a young and good vampire girl, and The Duchess of Whimsy. When their book was gently pressed, their character magically came to life sharing about the book. Students toured the museum in the afternoon and then again that evening during Library Night. Everyone had a wonderful time and thought the the book characters made the Living Museum the most amazing event! |
