Dress Code/Personal Appearance Scott Collegiate Academy Dress Code is established to teach grooming, hygiene, instill discipline and modesty, prevent disruption, avoid safety hazards, teach respect, and prepare our students for the future. To maintain high standards in health and safety for all our students, we request that all students focus on personal cleanliness and their overall personal appearance. Tops/Jackets: Polo-style shirts with collars (long sleeves or short sleeves), school spirit T-shirts, college T-shirts. Oversized shirts will not be allowed. Color of polo-style shirts/school spirit shirts/jackets by grade level:
Visible undershirts: must be white or match the color of the uniform shirt. Bottoms: Khaki pants, capris or shorts must be sized appropriately at the child’s waist and must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee. Gym shorts or other type of athletic shorts will not be permitted to be worn underneath shorts or long pants. Shoes: Students are required to wear closed toed shoes with a back for their own safety while in the building. In addition, students are required to wear no-marking soles to protect our school’s floor. The Scott Collegiate Academy dress code prohibits:
Spirit Fridays: Students have the option of wearing jeans without holes or frays with a Scott Collegiate Academy School t-shirt or a college t-shirt on Fridays. Students who wear clothing that disrupts the learning environment may be sent home to change into appropriate school apparel. The faculty and staff of SCA reserves the sole right to interpret and enforce the student dress code. |
