Mariana Mueller -District Instructional Technology Coordinator Mariana Mueller graduated from Stephen F. Austin University magna cum laude with a B.A. in History and English. Upon graduation she was hired by the U. S. Government and became the youngest Operations Supervisor,Department of Health and Human Services, in the country responsible for 30+ employees and millions of dollars of US Funds. During her management tenure her location received the Commissioner's Citation for moving from the lowest-performing district to the top performing district office in a five state region. She also receive an Outstanding Employee Citation. She discovered her propensity for technology and training when she subsequently ran a U.S. Government Regional Data Review Technicians' School in Texas. After leaving the workforce to care for an ill child for several years, she entered the educational field, working as a Media Technical Specialist (assisting in networking implementation at Coppell High School in Coppell, Tx.) She also worked as a Campus Technology Specialist for 5+ years at Wilson Elementary School in Coppell, Tx. During this period she accomplished many new technology initiatives and received Outstanding Employee four times for playing a significant role in Wilson achieving Exemplary Status for 5 consecutive years. After 10 years at Coppell, she obtained her Technology Teaching Certificate and taught WebMastering at Highland Park High School, Dallas, Tx and WebMastery I, II, Digital Graphics, A+ Certification and N+ Certification at Keller High School. Her students created real world websites for businesses in Keller, Texas, achieved A+ and N+ Certification status, and were able to enter technology jobs prior to graduation from High School. For the last 7+ years she has held the position of District Instructional Technology Coordinator for Galveston ISD. In her current position, a few of her duties include approval of software acquisitions for the district, providing training and support for teachers, campus techs and GISD Administrative Departments.
