Preparing Students for Lifelong Learning

Digital Graphics Students Continue to Produce Exciting Work

Students in Digital Graphics created original Pandora Internet Radio cover art using blending modes — specifically multiply. This advanced technique is one of the most important and widely-used blend modes in all of Photoshop, whether you’re doing traditional photo retouching work or creating some wild and crazy special effect.

In digital image editing, blend modes are used to determine how two layers are blended into each other. Photoshop takes the colors from the layer that’s set to the multiply blend mode and multiplies them by the colors on the layer(s) below it, then divides them by 255 to give us the result.

Ms. Stephanie Wilcox is their instructor.

Fifth Grade Student Entrance Changed to Front Library Entrance

Dear Central Bearcat Parents:

My name is Melvin Bouldin Jr., and I am the new Principal at Central Middle School.  I would like to compliment the former Principal, Annette Dailey, for the fine job she and the staff have done.  It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of the Central Bearcat Family. As Principal of this great school, I will continue to work with this great staff to see Central Middle School succeed in all areas.

One of the first areas of concern is the entrance area of our 5th grade students.  At the present, 5th grade students are entering in the back of the building near the Band Hall. After meeting with the campus administrative staff, it was decided that this is not the safest place for our students to enter. Therefore, beginning Wednesday, March 6, 2013, the 5th grade students will enter in the front Library entrance.

The faculty and staff of Central Middle School will continue to work together to keep our school safe and secure for our students and staff.  Parents and guardians, we appreciate your support and we are looking forward to a great remainder of the school year.

Melvin Bouldin, Jr., Principal
Central Middle School
