My name is Sara Smart and I am a 3rd grade teacher at Parker Elementary School. I have been teaching for 7 years and absolutely love it.  I teach reading, writing and social studies. I love teaching at Parker Elementary and watching my students grow academically and socially into happy and successful "Parker Pelicans." 
I graduated from Concordia University in Austin with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. My focus was on early childhood education. I loved my time in Austin but am so happy to be in Galveston.
Other than teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends.
