Denise Hoyland

Hi, my name is Denise Hoyland and I am currently the 7th grade science teacher/8th grade biology teacher  at  Collegiate Academy-GO EAGLES!  I've had the pleasure of teaching in Galveston for 15 years in grades 5-8 science and biology. I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and I have completed 2 years of my Master's degree in Counseling. My philosophy is that science learning occurs when students make connections between science concepts and the real world.
