    Congratulations, Class of 2020! It is time for you to start gearing up for your senior year!
    Start by scheduling your senior pictures now! We are offering dates in June, July, and August. Not only are these sittings for the yearbook photo, but you can also get extra poses/outfits for yourself!

  • Galveston ISD Announces New Athletic Director

    The District is excited to announce that Walter Fortune will join the Galveston ISD team as the New Athletic Director. The GISD Board of Trustees approved the hire of Fortune late Tuesday evening with a unanimous vote in his favor.

  • Three GISD Campuses Honored at the National Magnet Schools of America Conference

    The GISD Magnet team traveled to Baltimore, Maryland to attend the 2019 National Magnet Schools of America Conference. While attending the conference, Ball High Media Arts & Digital Technology Community and Oppe Elementary Magnet Campus of Coastal Studies were recognized as National Certified Magnet Schools and Collegiate Academy was recognized as one of 19 National Demonstration Schools.

  • The GISD Communications Team Brings Home 18 Awards from the Annual TSPRA Conference

    Galveston Independent School District’s communications team traveled to Bastrop, Texas to attend the 2019 annual conference of the Texas School Public Relations Association. The Galveston ISD communications team competes in the TSPRA “Star Awards Celebration” and attends multiple conference sessions to learn new skills and to enhance their public relations outreach. This year, the communications team came home with eighteen awards.
