Degrees and Certifications:
Instructional Aide III Certification
Mr. Anthony Kruse II
Life Skills Instructional Aide
I began working for Austin Middle School on October 29, 2020. I have prior experience being an Instructional Aide in the Austin, Texas area working for Leander High School working with the ICAP and 504 programs there from 2018 to 2020. Some colleges and universities I have attended are Heartland Community College in Bloomington, Illinois, also Austin Community College in the Austin area, as well as being currently enrolled in the University Of Houston Clear Lake. I am pursuing my Business Administration/Management degree till I can get my bachelor's degree for a teaching certification.
Some things about myself that I believe translate into the classroom are:
1) I love to travel the world and have been to 13 countries and over 3/4 of the United States. I am very open to cultures and love diversity within the classroom as it brings new perspectives which I think helps students.
2) I love to learn about other cultures exposing myself to world history, foreign music, foreign cuisine (no matter how crazy the food might be). I think when students get exposed to other cultures through different subjects and cuisines it makes them have a more open mind.
3) I love sports and as a child and teen I have been in Gymnastics, Soccer, Track and Field, Wrestling, Basketball, and Karate/Martial Arts. I like to persuade students to join sports or clubs so as to get to know their other classmates and to be active and proactive within their own communities.
4) Random funny fact: I was born on Father's day June 18 and my brother was born on Mother's day May 12 (though both holidays change dates/days every year) I like to celebrate each of my students birthdays with a party! :D I like to reward students with foods that they love and are not allergic to of course during their special day and for the summer birthdays I understand and celebrate their birthdays as well!
