• Dancing Dolls SINCE 1991

Former director, Mrs. Floretta Laws brought Ms. Ronisha Ward back to Central Middle School to assist her in creating something special. That creation and gift to the Galveston community was the Central Dancing Dolls! One of the first groups of its kind in the county. The Dolls became known for their emphasis on precision, polish, and perfection.

Not only do the Dolls provide the halftime entertainment for their schools football and basketball games, they have performed during the University of Houston’s halftime Extravaganza and The Houston Rockets half time shows.

We are a part of local festivities such as the Krewe of Aquarius Mardi Gras parade, Lemonade day Kick off ceremony, which showcases young entrepreneurs, Grand Kids Fest and the Edufest, honoring those who go the extra mild in the field of education.

The Dolls, like many other Texas dance teams, perform in the stands and often use visual props, such as poms. They compete every spring, earning nothing less than first division in their respective category of jazz, hip-hop, pom and lyrical styles of dance.
