Mr. Larry Charvoz

Automotive Instructor

Hi, my name is Larry Charvoz and I teach Automotive and Diesel courses at Galveston's Ball High School. I have been teaching since 2004 at Ball High. It is an awesome place to learn and work! I challenge students every year to do their best and to be successful products of their community, but not without the guidance and support from myself and their school. I encourage parents to be active participants in their child’s education. My philosophy- 'Nothing is too hard if you believe in yourself!' My wife and I have been married for 43 years and live in Houston. We have two beautiful children. My oldest is named Kendra and our son's name is Jeremy. Kendra is an elementary K-5 teacher and our son is a police officer with Lufkin Police. I spend all my spare time with my family and friends. We enjoy relaxing poolside, movies, and traveling. We love to go to our cabin in Colorado where I really enjoy fly fishing! We also have six grandchildren that we really adore. I graduated from Crooked Oak High School in Oklahoma City and attended San Jacinto College in the Automotive Program. I am ASE certified as well as certified in Trades & Industrial for the State Of Texas from Prairie View A&M University. I have been in the automotive and diesel field for over 42 years. I owned an automotive business for about 12 years and it was always my dream to own a shop someday. I found another passionate career in teaching which I really enjoy. I like giving back with all my experience. I attained my Texas Educator certificate and ASE certificate in 2005.
