Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Michael Belansky
My name is Mike Belansky and I teach Forensic Science at Ball High. I began teaching in 2016-2017, starting as a substitute pursuing full teaching certification. Granted the opportunity to teach a course as involved as Forensic Science, I strive to create an engaging, hands on, and effective learning environment for all interested students. It is my goal to teach through investigation with a lab focused curriculum. I received my education from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi as a B.S. Geology, granting a strong background in interdisciplinary sciences and scientific investigation. I have worked with Galveston Island Beach Patrol in the past, allowing insight to emergency services. I have many interests outside of the classroom including motorcycles, anything placing me outdoors, surfing, technology, and my large dogs. I am originally from Galveston County and have lived in wide variety of places including Moscow, Russia where I attended High School. I look forward to further developing skills and knowledge related to Forensic Sciences and instruction through scientific method during my time with GISD and Ball High School. My certification is held in Composite Science. Feel free to contact me for any reason you see fit.
