7th Grade Reading
My name is Ms. Williams, and I will be your English teacher this year. I am the cheerleading coach, too. I am so excited to have you in my class! I was born in Seoul, Korea, but I get to call two states home, North Carolina and Texas. My dad’s family is from North Carolina and my mom found a home in Galveston where she met my step father, who is BOI! I have one sister, a precious 6 year old nephew and a brother, who is in the Air Force.
When I was in middle school, I went to a different one each year. I went to an elementary school in Mannheim, Germany for fifth grade, and went to the sixth grade at the middle school in the same city. For seventh grade, my family and I moved to Manhattan, Kansas and I attended eighth grade at a middle school in Fort Riley, Kansas. I cheered my freshman year of high school in North Carolina. Additionally, I am proud to say that I attended and graduated as a Ball High School Tornado! I attended Ball High starting my sophomore year. During my time there, I participated in speech/debate, Tornettes, powerlifting, and B.E.S.T.T.
I attended Texas State University, Galveston College and I graduated with a bachelor’s degree of education from the University of Houston – Clear Lake, December 2017. I am a founding member of the UHCL Spirit Squad. My motto: we learn from our mistakes. I believe in it because each mistake is sign of attempting to put in a good effort. We are going to have a great time this semester with all of the new stuff we all will learn from each other!!
