My name is Mrs. Maria Eguiluz and I will be your child’s Spanish teacher. I have been teaching for a combination of 22 years in elementary education, secondary, and at the University level. I was born in Bilbao which is located in the Northern part of Spain. I received two Masters Degrees from the University of Deusto in Bilbao, one in Business Administration and one in Language and Literature. In December 18, 2010 I graduated with my third Masters degree in Educational Administration Leadership from Lamar University at Beaumont. Currently I am working on my PHD in Linguistics. Working at the College level, I decided to put my curriculum together publishing two books on the easiest way to learn Spanish and English.

I look forward to having a fun and successful year with your child. My expectations and purpose for this class is for your child to effectively learn Spanish and be a successful person. I am looking for strong parental support for assignments and behavior. Your child will be learning the fundamentals of Spanish Language. Creativity and learning styles are firmly structured and supported in my classroom.

I strongly encourage consistent communication and look forward to being a positive impact on your child’s future. I can be reached at 409-761-3500 if you have any questions.
