Mrs. Erika Scott

Physical Education Teacher/Athletics Coach

My name is Erika Scott and I am a Physical Education teacher at Ball High School. I am also the Head Softball Coach and Freshman Volleyball Coach. I come to Ball with many years of teaching and coaching experience. Previously, I was the Head Softball Coach at Thurgood Marshall High School for two years. Prior to that, I was the Varsity Assistant Softball Coach at Chester Nimitz Senior High School in Houston, Texas for one year. I began my coaching career in Austin, Texas in 2012 as the Head Softball Coach at William B. Travis High School where I coached for four seasons. During my time at Travis, the Lady Rebels softball team earned playoff berths in three consecutive seasons. I was born and raised in Galveston, Texas and I am 2003 graduate of Galveston Ball High School. I earned a softball scholarship to Galveston College and eventually transferred to Texas State University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness Promotion. My mission at Ball High is to develop young women of character and integrity within a culture of academic and athletic greatness. I am looking forward to the challenge of bringing the Ball High School Lady Tors Softball Team to the top. I have been married to my husband Ronnie for 4 years and have a step-daughter named Rihanna who is 9 years old and a 1 year old baby girl named Kyle.
