Ms. Teresa Megahan

As a sixteen year educator, I have taught everything from Biology to Beginning French. I earned a BA in Psychology with a minor in Biology from University of Texas at Arlington in 2000. The only thing I have done longer than teaching is making Art. I started as a teenager, and continued throughout my life exhibiting work in group and individual exhibitions in Dallas and Houston. I have published work as a poet, and performed spoken word for years. My favorite things to make are parade floats, and I chaired two different Mardi Gras krewes in four years for the Oak Cliff Mardi Gras Parade. I have traveled all over the world, living, working, and studying abroad in places like West Africa, South Korea, and Spain. My partner and I settled in Galveston after returning from a year in Spain in 2017. When I'm not travelling, I enjoy spending time with my three daughters, and four grandchildren in Waxahachie, which is thirty minutes south of Dallas. My favorite thing is art!
