• We at Collegiate Academy @ Weis look forward to the 2018-2019 school year! We encourage collaboration with staff, teachers, parents, and students. Students and/or families may be referred by a staff member, community member, or by self-referral. My first priority as your school counselor is to be available to our students who are in need of guidance and counseling throughout the school day. To ensure time and attention for students' needs, please schedule appointments with your child's counselor when needed.

The comprehensive guidance and counseling program provided to your child includes:

Guidance Curriculum which helps our students develop basic life skills, such as problem solving and goal setting.

    Among these skills are:

    • Anti-Victimization
    • Bullying Prevention
    • Character Development
    • Cultural Diversity
    • Violence Prevention
    • Suicide Prevention
    • Youth Mental Health First Aid

Responsive Services which addresses the immediate personal and academic concerns of our students.

Individual Planning which helps to assist students in monitoring and understanding their own educational, career, and personal-social development.

System Support which aids in linking faculty, staff and community members in our education programming and school improvement planning.

Mrs. Shea Hillman

My name is Shea Hillman and I am the school counselor at Collegiate Academy at Weis. I am excited to begin this 2017-2018 school year, working with a faculty and staff whose number one priority is your child and his or her success. I am a native of Texas and have received all of my educational training here. I received my two BA degrees from Houston Baptist University in Education and Spanish. In addition, my M.Ed degree is in School Counseling which I received from Lamar University. I also hold a certificate in Counseling and Development from Lamar University. I understand that this can be a busy, and sometimes stressful time in our students' lives as they transition from elementary school to middle school, and begin to plan for high school. I look forward to working with you and your child to ensure the best environment for your child to succeed.
