Follett Parent/Guardian Access

Galveston ISD allows parents to access their child's Follett Library account, granting them the capability to:

View library activity: See a child's current and past library checkouts.
Block specific books: Prevent a child from checking out books that parents deem inappropriate.
Search the catalog: Browse the library's collection by title, author, or subject.

To login you will need to make sure that your email address and other parent/guardian information in Skyward is updated and accurate.

If you update your information in Skyward will need to wait 24-48 hrs before your access has been created in Follett.

Logging into your Follett Parent Account

Step 3: Getting your Access Code

Enter an email address that is on file with the school and click "Get Access Code".

This access code will be sent to the email that you have entered. This email address will also have to match the information that you have in Skyward.

If you enter an email address is not tied to your student it will display, "No students found matching email". You will need to try a different email or update your email address.

Step 4: Using your access code

Once the access code arrives in your email, enter it to gain access.

Please note the following:

The access code expires in 10 minutes. If it expires, you will need to click “Resend Code.”
If you enter an invalid access code, an “Incorrect Access Code” message will appear.
The email will be sent from no-reply@follettsoftware.com with the subject line “Additional User Type Access Code.”
If the code is sent more than once, and you request it a second time, you will need to refresh the screen and re-enter your email address before proceeding.

Step 5: Logged in

Once you have logged in, your information will appear in the top-right corner of the webpage.

If you have more than one student in the district, a drop-down menu will be available. To view another student’s account, simply select their name from the list.

You will repeat the login process each time you access you parent Follett account.

Congratulations — Have successfully logged into your account.

Searching Content:

Search by title, author, or subject to locate materials. When the search results appear, you may select a title to block it from being checked out, or choose “View More Details” to access additional information about the title as a guest user through Destiny Discover.

Checkouts:

View the current checkouts. To see more information about a title as a guest user via Destiny Discover, click View More Details.
