At the June 16, 2021 Board of Trustees Meeting, Galveston ISD announced Bobby Temple as the new principal of Collegiate Academy.

"It is an honor to be chosen to serve as the new principal of Collegiate,” says Temple. “My goal is to be a leader that creates an environment where every student, teacher, and parent envision success in everything they do."

Temple is a proud 2002 Ball High School graduate who has been the Director of the Media Arts and Innovation Communities at his alma mater for the past three years. Prior to that, he was an assistant principal at Ball for four years following six years in the classroom as a math teacher.

Temple earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Lamar University and his Master of Science in Educational Administration from the University of Houston Clear Lake.
