Galveston ISD and Ball High School played a large role in this year’s Ninth Annual Galveston Economic Development Partnership (GEDP) Summit. The event, held at Texas A&M Galveston, featured speakers and panelists from the island’s business community including our very own Superintendent Dr. Jerry Gibson. Showcasing their talents as the future of the Galveston economy were Ball High School students involved in the Career & Technical Education (CTE) program. The award-winning Robotics team highlighted their latest designs, along with virtual reality Welding training demonstrated by students, a live podcast talk show hosted by Ball High Media Arts on-air talent, Engineering and aeronautic projects, and an inside look at IncubaTOR Entrepreneurship studies. We are growing future business leaders right here in GISD!
