Michael Le

Galveston ISD has selected Michael Le to lead its Management of Information Systems (MIS) Department. Le will be responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, development, and deployment of technology systems district-wide.

“I am incredibly excited for this next chapter in my career as your director of MIS and I look forward to being a part of the GISD family,” says Le. “The human aspect of technology should never be lost in automation; customer care should be at the forefront of our interactions, and empathy for how difficult change is for the sake of innovation.”

Le has worked in the technology field for more than 19 years, most recently in California as the director of technology and facilities management for North Orange County Regional Occupational Program. Before that, he was a technical support manager for Orange County Department of Education. He has also had technology roles with San Joaquin County Office of Education as well as technical support roles at other unified school districts.

Le has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree from the University of California Irvine, has earned AA information systems credentials from Orange Coast College, and IT certifications; APPLE Certified Macintosh Technician, CompTIA A+, Security+, and Network+. He will begin his new role with Galveston ISD on July 18.
