Oppe Elementary fourth graders got to experience an informative and memorable field trip experience called "Take A Kid Fishing."

Experts visited their classrooms to educate the students about fishing, different aspects of wildlife and the local environment, and the importance of recycling and conservation. After the lesson, students ate lunch at Jimmy's on the Pier and then fished all afternoon! Fish caught include croaker, catfish, bonnet head shark, sheepshead, and red drum. All caught fish were released back into the gulf.
