According to Chief LeeRoy Amador, Galveston ISD Police Officer Tim Cowart and his K9 partner Bonsai were called into action today to assist GPD in the apprehension of a suspect they were chasing on foot. The duo tracked the suspect to a house five to six blocks away, where he was taken into custody for drug possession and an active felony warrant for which he was out on bond for a murder offense.
