Sixty-four Ball High students were recognized for earning one or more industry-recognized certifications and completing an internship with Galveston Career Connect (GCC). The recognition ceremony took place on February 25 at Ball High School library; Eric Paul, Galveston ISD CTE Director, opened the ceremony by thanking parents and family members for their support throughout the program. "We have some outstanding students here, and we know their future is bright," he said.

Ball's library was filled with excitement and applause as students were called to the front for the official group photos. Brenda Hernandez, GCC Career Advising Specialist, and Lisa Dill GCC Career Advisor, received the students and awarded $500 in sealed envelopes and letterman jackets to eligible scholars. After the ceremony, parents and family members share hugs and pose for family photos.
