The Houston Transportation Security Administration presented an award to John Pruitt and Karen Stevens for their outstanding support and partnership in leading safety and emergency trainings for bus drivers and educators over the last six years.
The latest training hosted by the GISD Transportation was "Surviving Bombing Incidents for Educators." Galveston ISD administrators, and guests, including Alvin ISD Police department and Galveston County Sheriff's department, attended the event on April 27, 2022.
The Galveston Independent School District's Transportation Services department strives to champion security readiness to protect transportation assets, facilities, and most importantly human life.
