GALVESTON, Texas - May 13, 2020 - Galveston ISD’s Ball High School will hold its graduation ceremony on June 11, 2020 at Kermit Courville Stadium at 8 p.m. Graduates will be allowed to invite a maximum of four guests. Social distancing measures and other state mandates will be in effect for the safety of all participants.

Outdoor graduation ceremonies in Texas were recently approved by Governor Abbott and Texas Commissioner of Education Mike Morath if they are planned after June 1. Health and safety measures will be further established, such as hand sanitizing stations and facilities. Specific guidance for spectators will also be sent at a later date. Before, during and after the ceremony, students and spectators are expected to follow all set social distancing expectations including special entry and exit procedures.
