    The Ballet Overview

Inspired by J.M. Barrie's famous tale of the boy who wouldn't grow up, this ballet takes us on a playful journey with Peter Pan, his spritely sidekick Tinkerbell and the Darling children – Wendy, John, and Michael. With the help of happy thoughts and a bit of Tinkerbell’s pixie dust, they whisk away to Neverland discovering a whimsical land of blue lagoon mermaids, a tick-tocking crocodile and Peter’s friends, the Lost Children. It’s a celebration of dance and adventures. That is, until the most nefarious pirate of all, Captain Hook, kidnaps the beautiful Indian Princess Tiger Lily and stirs up some trouble! Peter, Tinkerbell, Wendy, John, and Michael join the Lost Children in their quest to rescue Tiger Lily from Hook and his silly swashbuckling pirates. A great introduction to the wonderful scores of composers Adolphe Charles Adam, Ferdinand Herold, Sergei Prokofiev and features ballet dancers, colorful sets, props, and costumes…Playful fun for the young at heart, this ballet is certain to thrill the child in us all!
