Dr. VIVIAN HERNANDEZ
My name is Dr. Vivian Hernandez. I am serving as the new Family and Community Engagement Specialist (FACE) for Galveston Independent School District. I am an enthusiastic professional educator with many years of successful experience. I hold a Bachelors in Humanities, a Masters in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Ethical Leadership from University of St. Thomas.
I have been so fortunate to have worked in various capacities at Ball High School. I served as the College Liaison between the high school and Galveston College. I have worked closely with the Ball High School administrative team to design and implement the renowned Tutor-a-Tor mentoring program addressing the needs of socio economically disadvantaged students who are at risk of not passing subject matter, state test(s), or achieving their ultimate goal-graduation. As the Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Media Arts Communities Pathway Coordinator, I assisted teachers and administrators with the implementation of successful programs.
