This May, GISD Child Nutrition was recognized for the second consecutive year by The Texas Department of Agriculture’s (TDA) for the Farm Fresh Challenge which takes place in October of each year to coincide with Farm to School Month.

GISD Child Nutrition Serve Local foods from farmers across Texas during October to promote local farmers and the wonderful produce grown in Texas.  Jennifer Douglas, Director of Child Nutrition was recognized by Commissioner Sid Miller in May at the TDA MEGACON Conference.
