Galveston ISD After school Information

Galveston Independent School District’s Afterschool Programs are designed to support student success by extending learning beyond the school day in a safe, engaging, and academically focused environment. Through the generous support of the Moody Foundation and the Texas 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) ACE grant, GISD provides comprehensive afterschool services for students in Pre-K through Grade 12 across eight of the district’s nine campuses. These programs reflect the district’s commitment to academic achievement, student well-being, and meaningful community partnerships.

Both afterschool programs are academically focused and emphasize student achievement through a combination of targeted tutoring, enrichment activities, and structured student support services. In collaboration with campus staff, district departments, and community partners, the GISD Afterschool Program offers a diverse range of opportunities designed to engage students, reinforce learning, and encourage consistent participation. This coordinated approach ensures that students receive high-quality academic support while also benefiting from enriching experiences that promote growth, confidence, and long-term success.

Enrolling My Student

To enroll a student during the school year, please contact the appropriate campus and program site coordinator listed below.

At the elementary level, the TKP program supports students in Pre-K through Grade 2, while the ACE program serves students in Grades 3 and 4.

To sign up for the next school year or for a summer camp, an interest form will be posted on the webpage and shared through district communications and social media. Completing the form does not guarantee enrollment. Additional information and instructions will be sent if your child is selected.

There are a limited number of seats at each location; therefore, not all students can be accepted.
