Welcome to the GISD Finance Department. Our goal is to maintain an ongoing, open communication with students, parents, staff, and community. The Finance Department continues to strive to improve communication between internal and external stakeholders. Our goal is to provide accurate financial information to all stakeholders, which can be used in the decision making process.

The Galveston Independent School District adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will be effectively raised by 2.05 percent and will raise taxes for more maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately -$59.
