Join us Monday January 12th at 4:30 PM on the front steps of the new Ball North for a community ribbon cutting. Students start classes the next day on January 13, 2026. Please review the map and traffic flow below before arrival.

Traffic Flow & Arrival Tips
- Parent drop-off: Use Ave O.
- Bus student drop off: Pickup and drop off will be on Tornado Alley directly in front of Ball High North.
- Visitor parking: Use the lot east of Ball High North, the entrance is on 41st Street. Visitor parking is in the row closest to the school.
- Accessibility: Use the lot east of Ball High North, entrance is on 41st Street. available near the main entrance.
- Safety: Observe staff directions and posted signs; do not double-park.

FAQs
Opening January 13, 2026

Yes. Just like at Ball High, all students and staff will participate in regular safety drills (fire, lockdown, severe weather, etc.). Drills will be practiced within the first weeks of opening to ensure everyone is familiar with the procedures.

Morning drop off and afternoon pickup will be on Ave O. Please follow staff directions and posted signs to keep traffic flowing safely. Bus lanes will be separate from car rider traffic. Traffic Map Here coming soon.

Student class schedules will remain the same. Students will receive their schedules with new room numbers in December during finals week.

Yes. Student tours will take place during finals week, December 15-18.

Room numbers and maps will be shared with students during finals weeks , December 15-18. On January 13, staff will be stationed throughout the building to guide students to their first classes.

Extra staff, administrators, and student volunteers will be available in hallways, the cafeteria, and main entrances to help students adjust quickly and feel at home in the new building.

A schedule will be released soon, but demolition of part of Ball South will begin this spring.

The first public tour of Ball High North will be held in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Galveston Chili Supper on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 5–8 p.m. Tour times will run from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM.

The bricks will be located on the right side of the main entrance near the flagpoles.

At this time, the pool will not be open for public use because it is located on campus and not designated for public access.
